Hanway Place houses the original Hakkasan in London.
Situated just off Oxford Street do not let the slightly dodgey surroundings put you off . When you enter this underground restaurant you will be whisked away to a totally different world.
The restaurtant serves modern Chinese
Cuisine and has a Michelin star. I have no idea what the following photos are but can testify that it was all delicious.
The atmosphere is very cool even though it is supposed to be an old style setting.
This place is not cheap but definitely worth a visit.

The IVY London
by supershag on Dec.30, 2011, under Beer, Fish and Chips, Happening, Irish Coffee, LONDON, Wine
In London this restaurant is an institution.Frequented by the artsy fartsy set it is a place to see and be seen.
Located just off the Covent Garden area I recommend that you make a reservation well in advance in order to get in.
I would descibe the place as a gastro pub which seems to be the rage in London at the moment.I had fish and chips and mushy peas.
They were ok but the tomato sauce(ketchup) was excellent.
Overall I really do not know what the big deal is about this place but at least I can say I have been.
